My poor skin is brutally dry and wrinkled in some places because of sun damage and cold damage and lack of nourishment and lack of moisturizing.

must be raised to a high level,
to the same level it once was to bring the skin back to that attractive state.

What Prevents People From Asking For Help?

It is a philosophy of self-sufficiency, of self-sustainability, of not needing to depend on others which is inculcated into us since we are children.
To ask for help is a sign of weakness.
To need help is a sign that you can't take care of yourself.
According to this philosophy, people raised not to ask for help will learn to do things for themselves and become the self-sufficient models of independence and productivity our competition focused society prizes.
According to this philosophy, Human Nature is one of a natural inclination to sloth, laziness, and procrastination, and discipline and tough love are necessary to harden a person for the pains of a hard world.

But, when people need help, they find it agony to ask for it, because it contradicts everything they have been taught.
So, many people simply do not ask for help, and instead choose to suffer silently and guiltily in repentance and punishment for their inability to be self-sufficient.

This is "not" the Life Coaching philosophy.

but in this shallow, plastic, materialistic world,

I was just watching "I Believe" from the movie Honey.

Jessica Alba is gorgeous, but watching the montage of videos celebrating her progressive successes in the movie is bittersweet for me.

I think that anyone who is enjoying true success in their life cannot be wholly delighting in it,
because there is too much unhappiness around them for it all to be completely ignored.

Rather, the small number of people who are enjoying success in their life, have to block out the scores of people who are not truly delighting in existence.

Now, if one were to accuse me of allowing bitterness and jealousy to color my tongue here, they would not be inaccurate.

But...if I were enjoying a life of beautiful successes, I could not be blind to the fact that so many people were not enjoying the same, and how else could they feel but jealous and wishing they too could enjoy such a good life.

I believe all human beings have the fundamental sense,
"We Are All Equal."
So when others have more,
are enjoying life more,
how can one feel aught but envious.

Come on?
I cannot see how this can aught but be true.

...except...when someone already is enjoying success in their life.
only then can someone be truly happy for the success of someone else.

Our society is so quick to reach for the "professional" services of a psycho-person,
someone we "pay" to be our friend for an hour.

Am I the only person who finds this lamentable?

What I need is a "real" person to "really" love me for who I am,
and like me so much,
they just love to teach me things I long to know.

I'm thinking about saints and messiahs,
people who don't really exist except in our stories.

well...if I become the person I want to be,
I will be one of those people others can count on,
to always believe in them,
