When I Was A Child, I Was Always Afraid Of Taking Risks

A : "Y'know, I'm getting really sick and tired of hearing your constant complaining about society this and society that. Stop blaming society and start taking responsibility for your own life!"

B : "Yeagh, I totally agree. David. You can't just go around blaming society for all your problems. Society does have a part to play in a person's life, but a person is who ultimately has control over the direction their life takes. You have got to let go of all your society centered anger and start taking a hold of your own life."

=====

"You See...When I Was A Child, I Was Always Afraid Of Taking Risks. I Just...I Just Didn't Want To Get Hurt. Getting Hurt Scared Me. I Didn't Feel Particularly Special, Or Particularly Noteworthy, And I Knew That If I Didn't Do Anything Interesting Or Spectacular, Nobody Around Me Would Care. Nobody Around Really Cared...And I Was Willing to Settle For A Life That Has As Little Pain As Possible..."

Why though?
Why was I like that as a child?
Understanding that I think will take me closer to understanding who I am today.

A : "You see. That's why your such a loser now at 30. Because you had no guts as a kid and you never got any as you got older. You have to take a chance, or nothing worthwhile will ever come your way. That's just the way it is."
