Memorization.
Regurgitation.
Oblivion.

Memorize for the Test.
Regurgitate the data during the Test.
Forget everything you "learned" (and I use the word scornfully) for the Test.

There is our Education System (more like an Indoctrination System) in a nut-shell.
One word : unacceptable.

Well. Now I'm an adult and I'm going to fix things.

"Life is hard."
"You have to push yourself."
"If you don't keep up, you'll be left behind."

Fear.
Fear.
Fear.

sigh...
I'll say it again,
"Learning Is Easy, If It's Fun."

"Life isn't always fun."
But,
learning can be,
because WE ADULTS design the program.

Let's make it fun.
We owe it to our kids.
We owe it to the kids we were who would have wanted it that way.

I know I owe it to the memory of my younger self. -_-

I was just watching "I Believe" from the movie Honey.

Jessica Alba is gorgeous, but watching the montage of videos celebrating her progressive successes in the movie is bittersweet for me.

I think that anyone who is enjoying true success in their life cannot be wholly delighting in it,
because there is too much unhappiness around them for it all to be completely ignored.

Rather, the small number of people who are enjoying success in their life, have to block out the scores of people who are not truly delighting in existence.

Now, if one were to accuse me of allowing bitterness and jealousy to color my tongue here, they would not be inaccurate.

But...if I were enjoying a life of beautiful successes, I could not be blind to the fact that so many people were not enjoying the same, and how else could they feel but jealous and wishing they too could enjoy such a good life.

I believe all human beings have the fundamental sense,
"We Are All Equal."
So when others have more,
are enjoying life more,
how can one feel aught but envious.

Come on?
I cannot see how this can aught but be true.

...except...when someone already is enjoying success in their life.
only then can someone be truly happy for the success of someone else.

Our society is so quick to reach for the "professional" services of a psycho-person,
someone we "pay" to be our friend for an hour.

Am I the only person who finds this lamentable?

What I need is a "real" person to "really" love me for who I am,
and like me so much,
they just love to teach me things I long to know.

I know. I know.
I'm thinking about saints and messiahs,
people who don't really exist except in our stories.

well...if I become the person I want to be,
I will be one of those people others can count on,
to always believe in them,
love them for who they are,
and teach them everything I know.
